  • This Annual Gift Disclosure form is for General partners (or equivalent managing entities) of Private Equity Funds, Private Credit Funds, Real Estate Closed-End Funds, and Infrastructure Closed-End funds. If your fund does not fall into any of those categories, you may be required to file a quarterly Contractor Disclosure Form which can be found HERE. Please contact us at audit@lafpp.com if you have any questions on the type of filing you should complete.

  • Contractors shall disclose all Gifts, as defined within this Policy, made directly or indirectly by any of the fund or firm's gift providers to any of the LAFPP gift recipients as defined below:

    Gift Providers at the Fund or Firm

    • Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), or functional equivalents
    • Marketing representative for the firm
    • Relationship representative for the firm
    • Portfolio manager for the firm
    • Investment Committee member of the firm
    • Intermediary for the firm (i.e. placement agent, lobbyist, marketer, broker, etc.)
    • Spouse or domestic partner of any of the individuals above

     

    LAFPP Gift Recipients (Please see the list of Elected and Appointed Officials, Candidates, and Applicable Employees for more detailed information.)

    Gift Recipient Definition
    Elected Official
    • LAFPP elected Board member
    • Mayor of the City of Los Angeles
    • Members of the Los Angeles City Council
    • Los Angeles City Attorney
    • Los Angeles City Controller
    Candidate A person who has filed to run for the offices indicated under "Elected Official"
    Appointed Official An appointed LAFPP Board Member including a person who has been appointed, but is pending confirmation as of the date of filing a disclosure
    Applicable City Employee
    1. An applicable LAFPP employee (this includes executives, managers, or staff from the list of applicable officials); or 
    2. An applicable employee in the Retirement Benefits Division or Outside Counsel Oversight Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office or who is in the direct supervisory chain of command over the lawyers in those divisions. 
    LAFPP Investment Consultant

    Decision makers of any of the following firms:

    • Future Standard (formerly known as Portfolio Advisors) - Private Equity Consultant
    • RVK - General Investment Consultant
    • Townsend Group - Real Estate and Infrastructure Consultant
    • Stepstone Group - Private Credit Consultant

    Reporting Threshold: Gifts are only required to be reported if, for the calendar year, the total value of Gifts made to a single recipient is $50 or more.
